I get to decorate cakes for a living!
For
almost 2 years now, I’ve been working as a cake decorator
at a small, local bakery in Liliha. But don’t let the word
“small” fool you; on weekends we get up to 80 special-order
cakes a day! There are two of us that share the joy of decorating
these cakes. We’ve gotten quite good at what we do. Amazingly,
no matter how many orders come in, we always manage to get
out on time.
I love being able to make something that’s special and unique.
It’s very gratifying to know that the cake I decorated was
made for someone very special, for an important event in that
person’s life, to be celebrated with loved ones. To see the
smiles on the customers’ faces and the oohs and ahhs in their
voices, it just puts a smile on my face.
